PURPOSE:To obtain a favorable molded article by preventing lateral rocking of a hot plate, by providing a control member controlling rocking motion of the hot plate by fitting the control member in the hot plate slidably. CONSTITUTION:In case of use of a hot press, the lower end of a control rod 8 is fixed to a stationary member 10 after the control rod 8 has been penetrated through a throuth-hole 9a of metal fittings in the whole hot plates 6 by piercing through the same from the through-hole 9a of the metal fittings 9 of the hot plate 6 positioning at the highest position after each of the hot plates 6 has been mounted on a step plates 5a-5d through brackets 7a-7d. Then a cylinder 3 is actuated by mounting a printed circuit board not illustrated hereon on each of the hot plates 6. With a rise of a movable platen 2 based on a rise of a ram 3a the hot plates 6 are raised also in order from the one positioning at a subordinate position and kept piling up by separating from the step plates 5a-5d. Then as the second hot plate 6 from the top is pressed by the top one 6, the whole boards are pressed. In this instance, as rocking motion of the hot pla1te is controlled by a control member, it does not happen that each of the hot plates is piled up one another under a state wherein they deviate from one another.
