PURPOSE:To inexpensively and easily remove the traces of flaws on the surface of a work piece when the traces of flaws, etc., are generated on the surface of the work piece by passing the work piece through the inside of the atmosphere kept at the temp. approximate to the melting temp. of a paint, etc., coated on the surface of the work piece. CONSTITUTION:The traces of friction flaws generated during working or by contact with other materials are inadvertently generated in the stage of subjecting the metallic sheet work piece on which a paint layer, etc. are formed to cold press working, etc. The work piece A having the traces of flaws on the surfaces is imposed of a conveyor 3 which can set such an adequate temp. as to be approximate to the melting temp. of the film forming material such as paint formed on the surface of the work piece. The work piece is thereby heated. As a result, the traces of flaws on the surface of the work piece are inexpensively and easily erased.
