All persons with access to the factory floor or machine hall carry transmitters (1), e.g. attached to their belts, which transmit a radio, sonic or magnetic field signal. On each machine (2) which is itself moving, or has dangeorus moving parts, there is a receiver (3) which feeds a distance measuring devic (4). The distance measuring device may be a simple amplitude detector. - If the transmitter is close (within radius S) but not dangerously so (within radius R), a switching circuit (5) can slow down or stop varius operations (6A-6E) of the machine. More complex versions may actually measure the speeds and direction of travel of both objects and take appropriate action(F).(0/3) |
