PURPOSE:To automatically copy a cut-in document by providing a semiautomatic document feeding means which automatically feeds documents which are set one at a time, to a document setting table. CONSTITUTION:When a cut-in document 7b is set on a cut-in document table 19, a sensor 22 detects this and, then, as a cut-in button provided on a copying machine is depressed, a copying operation for a document 7a which is placed on a contact glass 2 is stopped. After necessary operations are carried out, when a copy button is depressed, the document 7a which has been placed on the contact glass 2 is returned to the document table 6 of an automatic document feeding means 4 through a reverse feeding means. After the document 7a is returned to the document table 6, the cut-in document 7b on the cut-in document table 19 is fed to the contact glass 2 through an automatic document feeding means 5. And, equally to an ADF mode, the cut-in document is discharged onto a document receiver after being copied for a defined number of times.
