PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of an outer cable without sacrificing performance in view of strength by paralleling ultra-drawn polyoxymethylene filaments, arranging same parallel to a plastic pipe or at a fixed angle with the pipe, coating same to be united in a body. CONSTITUTION:Ultra-drawn polyacetal rods 2 are densely disposed along the outside of a tube 3 made of polyethylene or nylon, and coating the outside of the rods with HD polyethylene 1 to be united in a body. Accordingly, it is possible to obtain an outer cable which is lighter than the conventional cables using steel wire or a steel tape, rustproof, and excellent in compression- resistance and buckling resistance.
