PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency, operability, safety, and exactness of sand casting work by a method in which an inductive hood divided into plural flow paths expanded downwards is provided connectedly to the lowermost stage duct in such a way as to enable sand to go down in a wide range with an equal flow rate. CONSTITUTION:An inductive hood 8 divided into plural slow paths 11 gradually expanded downwards by plural partition walls 9, having an upper cylinder 8a on its upper part and a lower cylinder 8b on its lower part, is connected to the lowermost stage duct 1. The lower end of the upper stage tube is inserted into the upper end of a large-diameter lower stage tube, and the upper end of the duct 1 with an aperture S is vertically held between both the tubes in such a way as to position its upper end slightly below water surface 3 and also its lower end slightly above the bottom 16 under water. Sand dropped continuously from the hopper 6 into the duct 1 is dividedly introduced to each flow path 11 and allowed to flow down from the lower open grille 12. The economically stable and efficient operations with improved operability can thus be performed.
