PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of NOx to be generated by lowering the temperature of flame as well as prevent the occurrence of backward flame by providing a metal net with flame pores coated with a far-infrared rays-radiating paint at the outside face of a burner in a combustor burning a combustible mixed gas. CONSTITUTION:A fuel and air jetted from a fuel nozzle 15 and an air jet nozzle 16 are mixed in a vaporizing cylinder 8 heated to form a mixed gas. The mixed gas comes into the burner head 4 and ignited on the outer surface through the internal air holes of the head 4 made of a sintered porous material to form flame on the surfaces of the a metal net 6 with flame holes. Since the sintered porous material has countless air holes, uniform, short, and stable flame is formed over the whole burning surfaced 17 from strong combustion to weak combustion. Also, since the metal net 6 is applied with a far-infrared rays- radiating paint, the radiation of heat is accelerated to suppress the rise of temperature of the metal net 6 and thereby to lower the temperature of flame. The amounts of NOx to be generated during the combustion period can thus be greatly reduced.
