<p>The invention relates to the joining of moulded parts to form composite bodies which, according to their function, consist of an outer sleeve and thermoplastic core. The aim is to improve the mechanical strength, the leak-tightness and stress resistance of the connection region and to improve the dimensional stability of the composite body to be produced. The object of the invention is to achieve a direct, all-round and gap-free connection at the joint contours. This object is achieved according to the invention in that the moulded parts are formed by the primary forming of a support body and, associated therewith, the re-forming of thermoplastic parts to give joint contours, in that the joint contours, in the position before the joining operation, define a joint cavity, in that the mouldings are joined by external force and, during this operation, obtain low viscosity in the connection region by energy supply and, during the joining operation, the support bodies constitute a solid encapsulation for the flowing material of the joint contours. The field of application is the production of composite bodies which consist of an external sleeve with good heat resistance and hard and brittle properties and of a thermoplastic high-voltage-resistant core. <IMAGE></p> |
