PURPOSE:To allow the user to pick up an object independently of the position and direction of a video camera main body by mounting an EVF part attachably and detachably to a video camera main body part and connecting the video camera main body and the EVF part electrically by a transmitter/receiver. CONSTITUTION:The EVF part 4 in the video camera apparatus in the normal using state, the EVF part 4 is adjusted and fixed to a prescribed position of the video camera main body by an EVF mount part 7 for the ease of the operation by the user. In separating the EVF part 4 from the video camera main body 1, when the EVF part 4 is placed in a range transmitting/receiving a signal by the transmitters/receivers 6a, 6b, the EVF part 4 is used in an optional direction and position independently of the direction and position of the video camera main body. In operating operation buttons 8a, 8b provided to the EVF part 4 in this state, the zoom operation of the video camera apparatus and a magnetic video recording and reproducing device connected to the video camera apparatus are controlled.
