PURPOSE:To shorten the necessary time for cutting an iron core, and eliminate completely the lamination shift of element plates of iron core, by cutting and laminating the iron core after unifying a specified amount of element plates of iron core for a simultaneous lamination without deteriorating magnetic property by using a laser beam. CONSTITUTION:There, for example, of steel belt 1 are arranged, and element plates 4 of iron core of each steel belt 1 are laminated with pressure in the direction of thickness by a doubling calender 5 so as to make no gap. After each element plate of iron core is laminated by the doubling calender 5, a laser beam of a laser oscillating apparatus 6 is applied from the single side of the element plate 4 of iron core. By this irradiation, the element plates 4 of iron core are welded with each other at the irradiated part by the laser beam, and unified. After a specified length of unified element plates of iron core is sent by a sending roll 2, the unified body is cut by an oscillation shear 3, and an iron core 8 wherein a specified amount of element plates of iron core for a simultaneous lamination is unifyed is obtained. After such a unification the iron core is cut and laminated, so that the working process of cutting and laminating the iron core can be shortened, and the iron core with stable magnetic property can be obtained.
