PURPOSE:To get a traverse guide excellent in its mechanical strength and heat resistance, and capable of extending its life to be excellently stabilized at high speed, by constituting at least a rail engaging section with nylon 46 having relative viscosity not less than 2.8, in a traverse guide. CONSTITUTION:As for a traverse guide, at least the rail engaging section 5 of a section which retains a magnetic chip 6 is constituted of nylon 46 having relative viscosity not less than 2.8. Thereupon, the abrasion of a traverse guide sliding section, which is observed in fine denier thread, is hardly observed in large denier thread in its high speed winding. And it is possible to remarkably extend the life of the traverse guide at high speed further to decrease the little scattering among individual lives, as compared with an object using, as component materials, the conventional nylon 6, nylon 66 and aromatic polyesters, higher in thermal deformation temperature than those, such as polyether ether ketone, polyether imide and polysulfone, etc. so it is possible to use it favorably in a high speed winder.
