<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an appropriate tension corresponding to a recording tape by correcting and controlling the tape tension in accordance with a change in the travel route of the recording tape, which stems from loading a different recording tape containing cassette. CONSTITUTION:When a normal cassette is loaded, a cassette placing stand 19 is downwardly positioned with respect to a main chassis 18. A lever 24 is abutted on a stopper 26. While the tape is normally traveling, an appropriate tape tension can be attained due to elasticity preset by a spring 25. If a short- time tape cassette 11b is loaded, it is loaded on the placing stand 19, after which it is upwardly moved. At that time, the lever 24 comes into contact with a pin 27 forwardly located, and slowly rotated counterclockwise by the pin 27. Thus the spring 25 is stretched, and force pulling at left with respect to an arm 4 increases. Thus an appropriate tape tension can be obtained irrespective of a tape cassette.</p> |
