<p>PURPOSE:To improve the insulating property and the durability of the titled ignition coil by a method wherein the outside of the glass-sealed high pressure diodes is formed with thermosetting synthetic resin containing a large quantity of quartz powder in advance, and the diodes are assembled in one body with the ignition coil and buried in the thermosetting synthetic resin filled in a case. CONSTITUTION:High pressure diodes D1-D4 are sealed with the thermosetting synthetic resin 10 containing a large quantity of quartz powder in advance. The glass transition point of the resin 10 is 120 deg.C or above, the settling of the resin is prevented by shortening the period of thermosetting, the resin is uniformly dispersed, and the cracks generating on the diodes are prevented by bringing the linear expansion coefficient of the resin close to the linear expansion coefficient of the diodes. After the sealed diodes D1-D4, primary coils 2 and 3, and a secondary coil 6 have been incorporated in cases 8 and 9, ordinary epoxy resin 13 is vacuum-impregnated, hardened by heating and filled in. Then, the primary coil is connected to a terminal 6, iron cores 7a and 7b are attached, the iron core 7 and the outside of the coil case 8 are coated with thermoplastic synthetic resin 17, and the ignition coil is completed. This ignition coil has no cracks on the diode, and its insulating property and the durability are excellent.</p> |
