PURPOSE:To prevent the corrosion of an installation by HCl in a blast furnace top gas by passing the furnace top gas through a dust catcher and dry dust remover to a gas turbine to drive the turbine then passing the gas to an HCl remover or passing the gas emitted from the dry dust remover to another HCl remover and supplying such gas to a pressure equalizing pipe at the top of a blast furnace. CONSTITUTION:The blast furnace top gas is passed through the dust catcher 11 and the dry dust remover 12 via a riser 9 and a downcomer 10 by which the pulverized powder contained therein is removed, then the gas is supplied to the furnace top gas turbine 13 to driven the said turbine and to generate electricity. In the stage of charging raw materials into the flast furnace 1, a pressure equalizing valve 7 is opened and the gas emitted from the remover 12 is passed through the 2nd HCl remover 18 where the Cl in the gas is removed as HCl by a water spray 19, The gas is then supplied by the pressure equalizing pipe 8 to a raw material charger. The corrosion of the piping on the down stream of the turbine and the pressure equalizing pipe by the HCl is prevented even if the moisture in the exhaust gas condenses at the dew point.
