CONSTITUTION:A reproduction signal through a characteristic correction circuit 1 is supplied to a latch circuit 7 through a Schmitt trigger circuit 6, and the output of an oscillator 8 is inputted to the circuit 7 through an inverter In. The output Q of the circuit 7 is supplied to a shift register 13 composed of DFFs 9-12, and the inversion of the output Q is supplied to a timer circuit 14. In accordance with modes FMS and RMS and instruction signals RPT and ABS at the time of generating a PLAY instruction signal, the circuit 14 generates the prescribed lapse signal, and the output of the oscillator 8 is supplied as a clock to the register 13.
