PURPOSE:To automatically process an original of which reading has been just ended with a simple constitution and to effectively process the protection of a secret or the handling of an unnecessary original by cutting up the original read out by main scanning and subscanning like thin chips by a paper cutting means. CONSTITUTION:An original 6 is carried through an original feed roller 1 and an original press contact plate 2, irradiated by a light source 5 and read out through a lens 3 and a photoelectric conversion means 4. The means 4 consists of plural, CCD sensors arrayed in the rectangular direction (main scanning direction) to the original carrying direction (subscanning direction) and executes self-scanning. The read original 6 is guided by an original discharge switching plate 14 and an original discharge guide plates 11, 12, sent to the cutting means 15 and the cut thin chips are discharged.
