PURPOSE:To improve the operability by displaying an abbreviated number in response to a group number in parallel with the display of the group number. CONSTITUTION:When a revision switch 54 is depressed, a value of a counter section 18 is set to a value adding a numeral 1 to a value set to the counter section. A driver 30 is driven at the same time and the value of the counter section 18 is inputted to a decoder 36 provided to a pad section 90 through a signal line 32. The decoder 36 decodes the numeral and displays the numeral of the counter 18 on a dispaly 38. That is, the abbreviated number corresponding to the group number is displayed on the display device. When a press-to-talk switch 52 is depressed, a group number selecting section 20 is operated based on the numeral stored in the counter section 18 and the group number corresponding to the abbreviated number is selected. The group number is transmitted to a group number signal generator 10 and displayed on a group number display device 14 provided to a radio equipment main body via a decoder 12. Moreover, a control signal activating the transceiver and calling a called party is transmitted from the transceiver 4 based on the group number. |
