摘要 PURPOSE:To attain inexpensively the control of a PCR protocol with CCITT No.7 signal system level 2 by forming a signal loop delay time measuring means and a means for determining the maximum value of an octet number of a retransmittable signal in a signal terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:The signal terminal equipment attains a protocol with a CCITT No.7 signal system level 2 on the basis of a program stored in a memory 2. Then, the equipment discriminates whether a signal sent from the opposite station is a check signal with a signal No.0 as a normality recognizing signal is not. When the signal is the check signal with the signal No.0, the signal loop delay time of the signal is calculated on the basis of a difference between current time and a set signal sending time, whether the calculated value is less than the obtained minimum value or not is discriminated, and if the value is less than the minimum value, the minimum value of the signal loop delay time is rewritten. Then, the maximum value of the octet number of the retransmittable signal is calculated and updated on the basis of the new minimum value.
