PURPOSE:To process easily the result of detection by detecting the position and bearing of a ship from the vertical component of the magnetic fields of two coils detected with magnetic detectors. CONSTITUTION:When an operation for starting detection is made in an operating part 10, a control part 12 samples a magnetic signal H0 from each magnetic detector 4 and stores the same in a storage part 9. Coils LA and LB are then discretely energized and the synthesized magnetic signals H1, H2 of the magnetic material of a ship 1 and the coils LA, LB are sampled from each detector 4 and are stored in the part 9. The magnetic signal H0 is subtracted from the signals H1, H2 respectively and the magnetic distribution by only the magnetic field of the coils LA, LB is determined. The moving distance is calculated by the (z) component distribution of the magnetic signal by the magnetic field of the coil LA. On the other hand, the bearing of the ship 1 is calculated from the (z) component distribution of the magnetic signal by the magnetic field of the coil LB. |
