PURPOSE:To decide accurately and rapidly the validity/invalidity of a work under the consideration of the existence of dust by storing a pair of centroids and the number of reference dots for a reference and the work, superposing the centroid of the work to that of the reference and comparing the number of superposed dots and the number of non-superposed dots with an allowable value. CONSTITUTION:A reference R is set up and picked up by an ITV camera 11 and the picked up image is sent to a CPU 15 through an A/D converter 12, a digital image memory 13 and a CPU bus 14 to execute the arithmetic processing of the image. In the arithmetic processing, the R is binary-coded by an arithmetic unit 16, its measuring area is set up by an area deciding unit 20 and the centroid of characters or the like located on both the ends of the R and the number of reference dots are obtained and stored in a data memory 18. The set work W is similarly processed and a pair of centroids and the number of reference dots are found out and stored in the memory 18. The W is moved so that the centroid of the W is superposed to that of the R and the number of superposed dots and the number of non-superposed dots are found out by a plane subtracting unit 22 and compared with the allowable value to decide the validity/invalidity of the W. |
