PURPOSE:To realize a substrate with which the thermal deformation and deterioration with heat cycles during recording and erasing are extremely low by using a base material, polyimide layer to be laminated thereon and grooves on the surface thereof to constitute a substrate for an optical disk. CONSTITUTION:A silane coupling agent or the like is coated on the heat resistant substrate 10 consisting of glass, etc. and the transferred polyimide layer 11 is coated thereon by spin coating. The guide grooves are transferred thereto by a rugged die and the substrate is heated near to the glass transition temp. After the transferred polyimide layer 11 is formed, an information recording layer 12 is formed by a vacuum process and a protective cover layer 14 is provided via an adhesive layer 13. Since the polyimide layer 11 is the transferred layer,the heat resistance is made much higher than heat resistance of the conventional substrate and the substrate with which the thermal deformation and deterioration during recording and erasing are extremely low is realized. |
