PURPOSE:To obtain a blurred or transparent imaged at the joint part of images by calculating picture element data on an overlap part from the distances of two images from the non-overlap part of the picture element data. CONSTITUTION:The addresses of the picture elements corresponding to the subject picture element are supplied to a distance calculating part 12 from memories 10 and 11 of both image data A and B for calculation of distances Da and Db between two points. Based on these calculated values, a calculator 13 obtains the weight coefficient S to be multiplied by each image data and delivers it to an output picture element calculator 14. In this case, the distance Da is defined between picture elements 3a and 2a of a non-overlap part 1a of the image A. Then the distance Da is defined from a picture element 3b of a non-overlap part 1b of the image B closest to a picture element 2b. In such a way, the images are synthesized with the picture element data on the image A at the part 1a, the picture element data on the picture B at the part 1b, and the picture element data V at a part 1c respectively. |
