PURPOSE:To make the length of the wheel base of a trailer variable and to enable the trailer to turn with a small diameter, by fixing a kind pin provided to the trailer side, to an upper plate which is attached movably along a pair of right and left beams forming a part of a trailer vehicle body. CONSTITUTION:A tractor 1 is provided in the rear section thereof with a coupler 2 to which a king pin 7 on the trailer 3 side may be engaged and held. In this arrangement, the king pin 7 is suspended from the center part of a planer upper plate 9 having both side parts fastened to the lower surfaces of a pair of right and left beams 4, 4 which are provided to the vehicle body 5 of the trailer 3. This fastening is made in such a way that holes 11... formed in the outer attaching parts 10 of the beams 4 and the upper plate 9, respectively, are aligned with each other, and then bolts 12... are inserted thereinto, to which nuts 13... are fastened. Further, the bolts 12 are removed, and the upper plate 9 is moved back and forth along the beams 4, thereby it is possible to optionally adjust the length of the wheel base L.
