PURPOSE:To easily confirm memory contents of an IC card by the owner of the IC card by giving the reading function of the IC card to the compact electronic equipment which can be freely carried. CONSTITUTION:When an IC card 20 is inserted to a card inserting part 12 of an equipment main body 1, an external connecting terminal 21 of the IC card 20 is brought into contacted with a conductive ball 15 while a conductive ball 15 pressured by a coil spring 16 is pushed into a through hole 17. When a CAL/ID key 3b is operated, changed over to an IC card reading mode, a registering key 3a of a keyboard part 3 and a TERM key 3c are operated and the date input is executed, the electronic equipment reads the date stored into the transaction memory of the IC card 20, and displays successively the card name and the data of the designating period from the reading starting date to the reading completing date at a displaying part 4.
