PURPOSE:To improve the analyzing efficiency when plural sentences are analyzed successively by storing the result of analysis in a memory medium to use this stored analysis result for analysis of the next sentence. CONSTITUTION:The sentences are extracted successively out of a memory medium 4 and translated with use of a dictionary stored in a memory medium 3. The result of this translation is displayed on a display device 5 and then stored in a memory medium 2. Then the analysis of the second sentence is carried out. Here the result of analysis stored in the medium 2 is used as long as it is available. This omits the analysis processing of the same character string and therefore improves the analyzing efficiency when plural sentences are analyzed successively.
