PURPOSE:The titled composition, containing an anionic surfactant and a water- soluble compound derived from chitin, having good feeling of foam without depositing on the hair even in repeated use and capable of exhibiting improved conditioning effect. CONSTITUTION:A shampoo composition containing (A) an anionic surfactant, e.g. a sulfonate, N-acylglutamic acid (derivative) or N-acyl-N-alkylamino acid (derivative), and (B) a water-soluble compound derived from chitin, e.g. oligomer obtained by decomposing chitosan to give a low molecular weight, water-soluble chitosan having 40-60% deacetylation degree, salt of organic or inorganic acid of chitosan or derivative prepared by introducing hydrophilic groups into chitin or chitosan to give a water-soluble derivative, e.g. carboxylchitin or phosphorylated chitin, in a shampoo composition. The amounts of both ingredients are as follows; 5-30wt%, preferably 5-20wt% ingredient (A) and 0.5-10wt%, preferably 0.1-5wt% ingredient (B). |
