PURPOSE:To constitute an axle part compactly by forming a speedometer gear boxy at a knuckle part where a front wheel is supported at the front part of a swing arm. CONSTITUTION:An axle housing 52 which is wide in a breadthwise direction is formed in front of and below the lower steering shaft 57 of a steering knuckle 51 and an axle 92 is supported in the housing 52 through a wide radial ball bearing 91. A wheel center C is aligned with the center of a motorcycle body and the axis K of the steering shaft is also aligned with it. Then, the housing 52 has the speedometer gear box 54 formed integrally on the opposite side from a hub 38 and this box 54 is positioned within the width of the axle 92 and behind it while arranged nearly under the steering shaft 57. |
