The turbine-compressor set comprises of a hydraulic pump driven by the engine, and which in turn drives a hydraulic free-flow turbine via a regulating valve controlled by the engine aspiration pressure. A compressor is driven directly by the free flow turbine output shaft. The compressor is fitted inside a cylindrical suction pipe for the engine, and has two axial fan units fitted on the turbine output shaft and on each side of an inlet in the suction pipe. The turbine is fitted in one gable of the suction pipe, and has a wheel of the axial-radial type with radially extending blades. The turbine has an outflow mouthpiece with an aperture displaceable parallel with the turbine wheel plane. The mouthpiece has a variable flow cross-section. |
