PURPOSE:To improve copying efficiency by putting together and displaying a message and a function block diagram stored in a message memory and a block memory on a display means according to the operation state of an image forming device. CONSTITUTION:A CPU1 constituting a display control means is connected to a data RAM2, a program ROM3, a graphic ROM4 constituting the block memory, and message ROMs 5-8 constituting the message memory. An LCD controller 9 transfers a message and a function block diagram to an LCD display device 10 constituting the display means. A character ROM9a is stored with characters (font data) to be transferred to the LCD display device 10. A graphic RAM9b is stored with graphic patterns [e.g. block diagram (stored in graphic ROM4) at jam occurrence position] to be transferred to the LCD display device 10. The message ROMs 5-8 are stored with messages explaining all settable copying functions and copying function setting procedures by languages in sentence units. |
