PURPOSE:To obtain a developed image having high quality (high picture quality) which has neither an image irregularity nor fogging stably at any time by arranging a developer agitating and conveying means above and below a developer carrying member and making their longitudinal developer conveyance directions different. CONSTITUTION:The directions of screw blades 81 and 91 of upper and lower screw shafts 8 and 9 are made opposite each other. The screw shafts 8 and 9, therefore, rotate as shown by arrows respectively, but the developer in a developer storage part 4 is so conveyed rotating around the shafts according to their rotation so that a developer nearby the screw 8 moves in the screw shaft longitudinal direction from the inner side of the developer shaft longitudinal direction from the inner side of the developer storage part 4 to the front side as shown by an arrow (a) and a developer nearby the screw shaft 9 moves in the opposite direction from the front side to the inner side as shown by an arrow (b). |
