PURPOSE:To stabilize the quality of a plug by integrating an optical transmitting and/or receiving unit and a ferrule pipe in one body through a pipe at a stage before a holder is fitted. CONSTITUTION:The tip of the ferrule 37 is pressed in and fixed on the opposite side of the pipe 11, the unit has its rotating and axial movement limited and is fixed in the pipe 11, and the ferrule 37 is fixed to he pipe 11. The unit 22 and ferrule 37 are integrated through the pipe 11. Fiber cables at one terminal of a two-core fiber cable 12 are clamped and fixed in the holder 38 respectively. The holder 38 is pressed in and fixed in the ferrule 37 and fibers 39a and 39b exposed from the fiber cables 12a and 12b are fixed in the ferrule 37. The tip surfaces of the fibers 39a and 39b face each other closely to a light emitting diode 3 and a photodiode IC 4. |
