PURPOSE:To obtain a printing plate which does not foul the surface of printing paper, a matter to be printed, without fear of printing ink adhering to the edge of a printing plate by treating said edge by desensitization CONSTITUTION:An offset printing plate obtained by printing a metal sheet on a flat table offset printing has the edge treated by desensitization. In the meantime, a typical metal sheet which is normally sanded or anodic-oxidized and, if necessary, aperture-sealed is an aluminium sheet. In the treatment of a metal sheet by desensitization which is normally a gum coater, the edge is also subjected to the same treatment. When the desensitization of the edge is performed before printing by a flat table offset printer, metal sheets are piled up and can be applied with a desensitizer on the edge all at once. Or the sheets can be applied with said liquid one by one. Further, the metal sheet is transferred by the flat table offset printer, exposed to an activated light beam or heated. Then it is applied with a gum coater, the desensitizer, all over the printing surface and dried. |
