PURPOSE:The titled composition, obtained by blending a zinc salt of an organic monocarboxylic acid with a specific beta-diketone and glycidyl (meth)acrylate with a vinyl chloride based resin and having improved thermal stability with slight initial coloring and readily moldable with low toxicity. CONSTITUTION:A vinyl chloride based resin composition obtained by blending (A) a vinyl chloride based resin with (B) zinc salt of an organic monocarboxylic acid, (C) a beta-diketone expressed by the formula (R1 is methyl, phenyl or trifluoromethyl; R2 is methyl, ethyl, phenyl or heptadecyl) and (D) a copolymer having at least glycidyl (meth)acrylate units. Polyvinyl chloride may be used as the component (A) and caproic acid, pelargonic acid, lauric acid, etc., may be used as the component (B). Acetylacetone, benzoylacetone, etc., may be used as the component (C) and a copolymer having ethyl acrylate, etc., may be used as the component (D). |
