PURPOSE:To make service possible even in a dark room and remove dirt with a dirt with a dirt removing material using an organic solvent by forming the body of a telephone set with light-transmissive ceramic materials and providing a light source in the body. CONSTITUTION:A telephone set body 20 is formed with glass materials out of light-transmissive ceramic materials. A light source 23 is provided in the body 20. Glass materials of the body 20 are made transparent to improve the effect of design that the inside can be seen through. Though the light source 23 can be always lit, it is lit and extinguished, and the light source 23 is lit only at night when it is required to economize the electricity consumption. If parts, which are touched frequently with hands, other than the body 20 are formed with ceramic materials, fat of hands or the like are removed completely and a user has the sense that he uses always a fresh telephone set.
