PURPOSE:To obtain a vibration isolator in which a plural number of small liquid chambers effectively develop damping characteristics respectively, by dividing a liquid chamber provided with an elastic body in a portion thereof into three small liquid chambers so that the second and third small liquid chambers are arranged on both sides of the first small liquid chamber, and communicating these chambers respectively. CONSTITUTION:The vibration caused by an engine is absorbed by a rubber 20 via an upper division wall 30. When the frequency of vibration is low, the vibration is absorbed by the resistance at the time when the liquid in the second small liquid chamber 34 enters the third small liquid chamber 36. In this case, since the resistance of a pipe body 42 is smaller than that of a flexible pipe 44, low frequency vibration is hardly absorbed by it. When the frequency of vibration becomes high, the flexible pipe 44 is brought into a blinding condition, and comes to not to serve as a restricting passage. In this case, the liquid moving from the second small liquid chamber 34 to the first small liquid chamber 32 resonates in the portion of the pipe body 42 to absorb high frequency vibration. The flexible pipe 44 is in a blinding condition, and has no effect on the absorption of vibration at the portion of the pipe body 42. |
