PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation of overhead time despite the increase of the storage density of a dynamic RAM, by refreshing >=2 refresh address of a storage device in a single refresh time. CONSTITUTION:A REF address REFADD(n) that is inputted first is applied to a decoder by a RAS1 signal and selects one of rows of a dynamic RAM designated by the address REFADD(n). The refresh actions are given as conven tional to all memory cells set on the selected row. Then another REF address REFADD(n+1) that is inputted within the same refresh cycle is applied to the decoder by the dynamic RAM designated by the address REFADD(n+1). Then the refresh actions are carried out as conventional for all memory cells on the selected row. Thus a storage device is entirely refreshed by repeating the refresh action for two refresh addresses of the storage device in a single refresh cycle time. |
