1,163,504. Stands for stretchers. BINZ & CO. 1 March, 1968 [2 March, 1967], No. 10148/68. Heading A4J. The supporting posts 10, 11, of a stand for use in an ambulance, are collapsible inwardly towards one another, by releasing pivot 18, so that the upper and lower V-shaped linkages 13 and 12 cross over and the links 16 and 14 fold, respectively, against the links 17 and 15. The tubular links 16, 17 and 14, 15 are pivoted together, in pairs, by bushes (21a, 22a and 19a, 20a, respectively). In the erected position, the bushes are held in alignment by removable pivot pin (23). On releasing the connections 54, stays 52 and stretcher bearing bracket arms 32, 33 can be folded downwardly and arranged to support a backrest (56, Fig 7, not shown) for a seat 55. The seat is secured to foldable bearers 30, 31, by means of fasteners (60-69, Figs 9-13, not shown). |
