PURPOSE:To shorten the period of construction as well as curtail materials to be used for reclamation work by a method in which a section for the foundation of a structure is partitioned from other sections by a partition member, and a mixture of soil and a binder to connect coil particles is charged into the section surrounded. CONSTITUTION:A section A where ground is to be formed is partitioned by driving partition plates 2 into the ground 1 under water in such a way as to surround the water area to be the section A for forming ground. A section B where the foundation of a structure is to be formed is selected and partitioned by a flexible sheet 3, and reclamation work is performed while draining water in the section B and the other section C by means of a pump P. A mixture 6 with a hardener to provide a stickability to soil particles and also to solidify the soil is charged into the section B. The structure can thus be strongly supported and the period of construction can also be shortened because of no need to improve the ground after completion of the reclamation work.
