PURPOSE:To efficiently send information even in a communication system where various signals are received from a line during communication by allowing the reception station to record or display a prescribed output data without applying a conventional error processing when the reception station detects various signals. CONSTITUTION:A warning signal on a line is given to the line interface 130 of a reception station, then a detection section 156 identifies the signal and informs it to a system control section 136. The control section 136 starts a character generating circuit CG 126, connects the switch SW2 of a CODEC 108 with the position C and generates a prescribed output data representing disturbed reception picture information as a character pattern data via a picture conversion section 124. Then the data is sent to a recording section 122 and recorded on a part of recording paper as visual information such as a character or a symbol similarly as conventional received facsim ile information. That is, the control section 136 stops the inspection of the normality of a reception signal from the circuit 108 in receiving the warning signal, does not apply error processing during the reception of the warning signal, disregards the signal during the said reception and continues the reception until the end of normal communi cation enable time.
