PURPOSE:To improve the good looks in appearance and to securely join a disk substrate and spacer by forming a recording film on the disk substrate, then removing the excess recording film deposited in the prescribed spacer joint part by laser light. CONSTITUTION:A stamper having the rugged pattern reversal from pregrooves for tracking or pregrooves showing addresses to be transferred onto an optical information recording disk is prepared. A molten high-polymer material is injected under a high pressure into the cavity of a metallic mold for forming the disk substrate to produce the disk substrate transferred with the rugged pattern. The recording film is formed by sputtering over the entire surface except the surface near a central hole. The disk substrate formed with the recording film is attached to a spindle and is rotationally driven; at the same time, the laser light is irradiated to the disk substrate while a laser head disposed to face the disk substrate is moved in the radial direction of the disk substrate to evaporate the recording film in the part irradiated with the laser light, by which the spacer joint part having no recording film is formed in the inside and outside peripheral parts of the disk substrate.
