PURPOSE:To prevent the flapping of a sheeted material without interruption of water flow by providing alternately a water impermeable zone and a water permeable zone for the sheeted material in a preventor against pollution spread provided with a sheeted material against the flow of water. CONSTITUTION:A pollution preventor sheet 13 is hung down from a float 12, and a weight 14 of chains is provided to the lower part of the sheet 13 which has a structure in which a vertical water impermeable zone 13c and a vertical water permeable zone 13d are alternately arranged. When the preventor against pollution spread is set opposed to the flow of water, a stagnating portion is formed in the front of the zone 13c and pollutants collected in the stagnating portion are sedimented. The spread of the pollutants can thus be prevented and the flapping of the sheeted material 13 for preventing pollution can also be avoided because water flows through the zone 13d.
