PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a measuring optical system, by switching a sample reflection state where an incident light is diffusively reflected by a sample to from a reference reflection state where an incident light is intercepted and reflected by a reference reflection surface to determine the ratio of intensity of diffusively reflected light between both the states. CONSTITUTION:A while light from a light source 10 is projected into a spectroscope 13 via a lens 11 and a chopper 12. A monochromatic light from the spectroscope 13 is introduced into a sample 18 through a lens 16 and a mirror 17 via a filter 15. The sample 18 is placed on a rotary sample base 19 and a sector 22 is arranged at the position right before the sample 18. The sector 22 comprises a sheet disc and the rotation of the sector 22, a sample reflection state due to a transmitting part 22A, a reference reflection state by a reference diffusive reflection surface 22B and a dark light state by a non-reflection surface 22 are obtained. These states are detected with a photodetector 26. The gain of an automatic gain adjuster 27 is controlled by a reference reflected light intensity signal R minus a dark light intensity signal D and a sample reflected light intensity signal S is recorded with a recorder 34 through a logarithmic amplifier 33. |
