PURPOSE:To produce data of high accuracy at the time of maintenance service by making an abnormal signal not to be stored within a certain period of time after a speed signal from a revolution speed sensor exceeds a specified value, so that incorrect speed signals, even if outputted, are not stored. CONSTITUTION:In a shift means 36, signals outputted from a revolution speed sensors 8 and 9 are converted to vehicle speed signals and inputted to a shift judgement means 43 to shift solenoid valves 11 through 13. An abnormality compensation means 38 of the sensor 8 compares difference in the output pulse numbers between both sensors 8 and 9 and an abnormality judgement output is stored in a diagnostic memory 50. A diagnostic memory interruption means 64 on the other hand judges whether vehicle speed outputs from a vehicle speed operation means 40 and 41 have reached or exceeded a specified value and interrupts storage of the memory 50 within a certain period of time after an output signal from a logic means 63 is inputted notifying that the specified value has been exceeded. This prevents intermittent signals outputted from the sensor 8 due to vibration or other causes from being stored in the memory 50.
