PURPOSE:To facilitate the measurement of a temperature near the surface of a cable at a desired position along the length of the cable regardless of an installation method, by burying a temperature measuring line inside a sheath or anti-corrosion layer of the cable along the entire length of the cable before the installation of the cable. CONSTITUTION:A temperature measuring line 5 is, for example, a thermocouple comprising a constantan line 51 and copper line 52 is buried along a entire length of a cable at wire shield part 3 of a CV cable with a wire shield in which a insulator 12, the wire shield 3 and a sheath or a anti-corrosion layer 4 are provided sequentially on a conductor 1. When measuring the temperature of the cable, the sheath 4 or the anti-corrosion layer are torn up to take out a temperature measuring line 5 previously buried at a part intend to measure temperature, a sensor is mounted thereon and then, put back to measure the temperature at the connection or terminal part of the cable. This eliminates the need for providing additional wiring for a lead for measurement thereby facilitating the measurement of the temperature.
