PURPOSE:To permit a workpiece to be cut at right angel as well as obliquely thereby to improve a working function of a band saw, by providing the surface of a bed with a swiveling mechanism capable of swiveling the entire machine at an arbitrary angle about the axis of a turning center. CONSTITUTION:A bed 1 having a saw frame 3 placed on it is swivelingly mounted on the axis center 8 of a swivel shaft fixed on a base plate B. There is provided on the bed 1 a roller type feed mechanism comprising a pair of confronting vertical rollers 4a, 4b disposed adjacent to a vise comprising jaws 4a, 4b, the feed mechanism being displaced to the right and left directions. A swivel handle 8d is turned to swivel the bed 1 at a desired angle with respect to a workpiece W. Then, a pinch roller type feed mechanism is displaced to the left by a displacement handle 5e. The workpiece W is gripped by the jaws 4a, 4b and the roller 5a and it is cut obliquely by a band saw S.
