The blade (1) has holes (6,7) in its upper part to which a moulded piece of plastics material (2), that allows the skate to be mounted on a boot, is fixed. Eyelets (8), fixed to the moulded part, are inserted in holes (7) that are lengthened slots, parallel to the upper edge of the blade. The edges (8A) of the eyelets cover the holes and the eyelets can slide in the holes. The central hole (6) is circular and does not have an eyelet through it. When the blade is in place it is bonded to the plastics piece.
