PURPOSE:To simplify picture edition, by providing a control means which respectively controls the driving speeds of driving means in accordance with a magnification inputted by an input means and a reading means which optically reads pictures drawn on a writing surface when a film sheet is wound by means of one of the driving means. CONSTITUTION:When an anamorphic variable power mode is selected by means of an anamorphic variable power selection key 16, a picture to be recorded can be recorded, with the transverse length being set at an optional magnification against the longitudinal length. Signals from an operation panel 19 are inputted to a microcomputer CPU and control signals are outputted to each section, such as a motor speed control circuit section 20, etc., from the microcomputer CPU. The motor speed control circuit section 20 can drive motors M1, M2, and M3 at different speeds in accordance with the signals from the microcomputer CPU and by increasing or decreasing the speeds against the speeds at the time of unmagnification anamorphic variable power is set.
