PURPOSE:To eliminate completely mis-lighting and malfunction by operating a VCO in an FM stereo signal demodulator even at the reception of an FM monaural signal and producing a monaural signal by the combined FM stereo demodulation outputs. CONSTITUTION:A VCO stop terminal 7 in an FM stereo signal demodulator is connected to a television sound multiplex signal detection terminal 13 and a VCO stop terminal in a television sound multiplex signal demodulator is connected to an FM stereo signal detection terminal 6 respectively. When an FM stereo signal is inputted, since the detection terminal 7 is connected to the VCO stop terminal in the television sound multiplex signal demodulator, the VCO is stopped and acts simply like an amplifier and the FM stereo demodulation signal appears at output terminals 15, 16 as it is without beat interference with a 38kHz frequency. When a switch is thrown to the position (c), the stereo signals are combined by resistors 10a, 10b and are obtained an a monaural signal.
