PURPOSE:To reliably feed a beltform material by given lengths, by a method wherein the material is unwound from an unwinding reel during outgoing motion of a block by means of a reciprocating means and the material is wound around a winding reel during incoming motion. CONSTITUTION:A shaft 5 of a winding reel 3 is coupled to a block 20 through a one-way clutch 19. A clutch 19 is brought into an engagement state during outgoing motion of the block 20 but into an opening state during incoming motion. During outgoing motion to the block 20 by means of a reciprocating means, the winding reel 3 is moved in one-way in a state to stop rotation, tension is generated at a gauze between two reels, and an unused gauze is delivered against the friction force of a friction clutch 11 on the winding reel 2 side. Rotation of a friction wheel 26 of the winding reel 3 on a friction rail 27 during outgoing motion of the block 20 results in winding of a soiled gauze, used in a preceding wiping process, by a moving amount of the block 20 by means of the winding reel 3.
