A glossy heat-sensitive coloured sticker (coloured label) having a polished appearance like a cast coating, comprises a sticker base (support, carrier) material with a heat-sensitive dye layer which becomes coloured on heating applied to its surface, a barrier layer (protective layer) which principally contains a water-soluble polymer and is applied to the surface of the heat-sensitive dye layer, and a glossy layer which is applied to the barrier layer and has been produced by printing and application of a UV-curable resin having a low viscosity of less than 300 cP.
